Resilience is the ability to adapt to adverse situations or disturbing states. What disturbs Pablo Albini? And to what is he adapting?

Pablo comes from extensive training in the arts, spanning a wide spectrum including dance, object theater, performance, technological and installation art. Creating mini dystopian worlds, utilizing low-resource technologies, and glitched images are all part of his vast universe of imagery.

In the middle of last year, Pablo began a workshop where he undertook a series of painting exercises that initially seemed to completely diverge from his artistic practice. He created abstractions representing organic gestures. In a second phase, he started incorporating meticulous, obsessive lines over the paint splatters. Gradually, this new universe of images began to connect.

The drawing, the splatter, the line—these are not random searches. There is precise composition. Albini's tireless pursuit, blending the organic with the machinic, becomes embodied in all his works.

Thinking about modes of production, the mechanization of human daily practices, and the naturalization of those perfectionist pursuits. The man-machine is more meticulous than the machine because he has the ability to see what he is "printing." And he chooses to leave traces and fictionalize his "errors." Perhaps to ease his psyche and be aware that he still exists.

And while all this is happening, he generates an incredible amount of artwork. His technical skills and physical demands are characteristics in all his practices.

Lateral thinking, active meditation in full swing, and everything seems to be working.

Until he stops for a moment.

And the question arises: Where am I going?

And there, a door opens to an abyss of anxieties that can only be calmed by activating the man-machine.

Pablo Albini

Creador independiente con formación en varios lenguajes de artes escénicas e investigador en artes multimediales, forma parte del GRUPO BBLQ desde 2013. Fue integrante del COLECTIVO UMBRALES en las dos creaciones más importantes que se realizaron en conjunto con el Museo de la Memoria de Rosario (2013-14).Participó como integrante del equipo de Espacio Lab desde el año 2018 a 2022, programa experimental que trabaja en el cruce entre arte, ciencia y tecnología que tiene de sede al Complejo Astronómico Municipal de la ciudad de Rosario.

Desde 2017 viene investigando nuevas propuestas para la creación de piezas performáticas objetales en relación a los nuevos medios. En el 2022 participó en el taller compartido, programa de formación para artistas que se desarrolló en formato virtual, presencial, organizado por Crudo arte contemporáneo
