La tragedia de la voluntad
By Ariel Costa
About Ariel Costa
Ariel Costa’s work uses drawing, painting, comics, and music as its foundation, creating a singular universe. Through his paintings and drawings, he blends the riverside landscapes of his childhood with references to superheroes depicted in their most emotionally human state, and a certain cinematic aesthetic — all set within dreamlike scenarios. His distinctive drawing and painting style is complemented by his music, particularly his songwriting.
In La tragedia de la voluntad, he presents a series of drawings — some in graphite, others in water-soluble wax crayon — where, in a comic strip–like format, potential narratives emerge through the rhythm of the actions taking place in each piece.
Ariel Costa has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions, both nationally and internationally, and has received several awards and recognitions in national art prizes and salons.
