The invitation to the booth is linked to the journey through an interior space. The intimacy of objects, the pause of involuntary movement, the dreams of persecution, and the question about the spaces we inhabit are carried into the works presented by the artist.
A painter of the intimate. In these pieces, Martina seeks to transfer and capture the things that surround her, what she reads, listens to, writes, or draws. Yet those represented take on another role, they tangle with one another, they quote each other, they hide. There is a record of stories and people.
In her most recent works, darkness and dreams take over her objects; tangled among them, generating shelter and containment.
