Yuyo Gardiol
San Carlos Centro, Santa Fe, Argentina, 1980.
In my work, I reflect on the passage of time, balance, fragility, and how permeable we are to our surroundings. Obsessed with the power of the simple and the everyday, I explore ways to materialize these concepts through multiple languages: sculptures, installations, performances, actions, videos, photographs. I often experiment with different materials such as ceramics, glass, fabric, iron, sand, and branches. I seek to make the intangible tangible, to freeze moments and sensations — an attempt to capture drawings in water.
