Fepi Farina
1988, Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina.
Artist. Studied art at the School of Fine Arts at the National University of Rosario. Graduated from the Animators School run by the Audiovisual Center of Rosario.
His work combines drawing, assemblage, animation, and digital painting, with translations into physical formats through prints, engravings, or traditional techniques like painting on various surfaces. His themes often include irony, humor, the strange and the ugly, with constant references to art history and contemporary issues.
In 2024, he held his solo exhibition "Nocaut" at CRUDO (Rosario). In 2021, he presented "Como dibujar camellos" (How to Draw Camels) at Silencio (Mar del Plata, Argentina). During 2018, he held two solo exhibitions: "Volcán" (Volcano) at Espacio 1670 (Rosario, Argentina) and "No tan abstracto" (Not So Abstract) at CRUDO (Rosario, Argentina).
He has also participated in group exhibitions, including: “El cuerpo con letra entra”, curated by Manuel Quaranta (CRUDO, Rosario, 2021); "Jetlag", curated by Yuyo Gardiol, with text by Hernán Camoletto (CRUDO, Rosario, 2020); "Trabajar nunca", an exhibition conceived by Pauline Fondevila (Bon Scott, Rosario, 2019); "Mínimo" curated by Yuyo Gardiol (LA SALA, Tucumán, 2016); "Toda la fuerza del mundo" curated by Clarisa Appendino (Fundación OSDE, Rosario, 2016); "Atracción nómade" – CRUDO (Rosario, 2015); "Souvenir dos Sonhos" – Argentine Consulate (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 2013).
In 2021, he attended the “Casa Intermitente” artist residency in Mar del Plata, Argentina. In 2018, he participated in the “Manta” artist residency in San Martín de los Andes, Argentina. In 2013 and 2014, he was invited by the Chave Mestra Association to participate in residencies in Rio de Janeiro. In 2013, he won the Viamonte Project intensive training scholarship in Rosario.
In 2022, he was invited to lead the workshop "Taller de PAINT: Collage digital, dibujo y caos" (PAINT Workshop: Digital Collage, Drawing, and Chaos) at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Rosario, as part of the "Insufficient Space" exhibition by Damián Monti Falicoff.
He currently lives and works on the move, based in Rosario.
