Daniela Rodi
1980. Salliqueló, Buenos Aires. Argentina.
Daniela Rodi works with writing, sound, and voice from their plastic possibilities. Communication is part of the material of her work. Through instant messaging, social networks, books, and conversations, she constructs new poetic circuits. Using various media - such as the book-object, sound installation, photography, textile objects, and performance - the artist explores the word as a container of emotional landscapes.
She studied Architecture, Museology, and Visual Arts. She has participated in conferences and meetings, fostering dialogue between different cultural actors from the country and Latin America. She was a co-founder of the art gallery Vermú in Santa Rosa (La Pampa 2015-2016) and the general coordinator of the Casa Museo Olga Orozco in Toay (La Pampa 2015-2020). She is part of the collective Fuego en la Torre, which brings together artists from various cities in Argentine Patagonia, and is a member of the editorial team of La Ballesta Magnífica.
She has worked as a manager in dozens of projects in both institutional and self-managed settings. She has received grants from the National Arts Fund, the National Theater Institute, the Williams Foundation, and the TyPA Foundation. She won the 2018 Argentine Public Art Award at the Mercado de Arte in Córdoba and the 2011 Prize and Acquisition for Best Work by a Pampean Artist at the National Drawing Salon of the Provincial Museum of Arts of La Pampa.
Since 2006, she has exhibited in exhibitions, fairs, and awards. Three solo exhibitions stand out: in 2023 "Encuentro y manifestación" curated by Hernán Camoletto at CRUDO; in 2017 "Un cuento para ser leído de pie" (in dialogue with a text by Rosario Bléfari) as part of the "Presente Continuo" cycle curated by Hernán Camoletto at the Museum of Memory in Rosario, Santa Fe; and in 2013 "Montaje para una escucha flotante" curated by Laura Valdivieso at the Biblioteca Obrera de Santa Rosa, La Pampa.
