Celina Mundet
Born in 1978, Villa Mercedes, San Luis, Argentina.
Visual artist and cultural manager. Since 2008, she has been dedicated to textile art, exploring Latin American and experimental embroidery techniques. Her practice combines the manual with the symbolic, developing a sensitive body of work rooted in autobiography and the body as territory. She has participated in numerous group exhibitions in the province of San Luis and, in 2023, held her first solo exhibition in Villa de Merlo. In 2024, she took part in the training program Taller Compartido, where she attended clinics with Eduardo Basualdo, Georgina Ricci, Clarisa Appendino, and María Gainza. The program concluded with the exhibition "Esto no se puede grabar", curated by Georgina Ricci and Yuyo Gardiol at the Centro Cultural Parque de España, in Rosario. In 2025, she is presenting her solo exhibition “Todo respira junto”, curated by Georgina Ricci, at CRUDO, Rosario.
Since 2004, she has run lineazompa.com.ar, an experimental website dedicated to promoting and connecting artistic practices across disciplines. She is an active participant in her local cultural scene, organizing multidisciplinary events and collaborating with local cultural spaces. In parallel, she creates music videos for independent music projects.
She studied at the National University of Córdoba and has participated in workshops on art, illustration, design, weaving, and experimental embroidery. In 2013, she received a grant from the National Arts Fund (Fondo Nacional de las Artes) to carry out her artistic project.
